Role:

Length:

10 weeks

Process

The students received storyboards (called Econte) in Japanese with six timed cuts and began by translating them to understand the acting, dialogue and intended camera movement, among other details.

In addition, we also received a folder with character designs for Sophie, the robot Pixi and the background design. All designs are developed by Tonari Animation in collaboration with Warrior Art Camp.

Character design sheet (called Settei) for Pixi

Background design

Next steps for this project are to get feedback from the director (enshutsu) of the studio, correct the layout animation and once approved, bring retakes for a Sakkan check, where the supervising character designer will help tiedown certain frames to help with the final tiedown process.
